The President and Sustainable Energy Sources

President Barack Obama's inauguration occurred a couple of days ago and in his second inaugural address, he mentioned something that caught my attention. "We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations." Although he did not speak too extensively concerning the topic of climate change, the fact that he thought it was important enough to be brought up in his speech says a lot about where we the people stand and what we need to do. By advancing our technology used to obtain sustainable energy sources we would also create new job opportunities as well, and as the President of the United States, by mentioning an increase in jobs, he caught the attention of the people of America. Mentioning a topic such as climate change and the wide range of possibilities coming from the action taken upon this global issue, clearly impacted the American people and their opinion concerning Obama's presidency.
